NIOSH

National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. A research agency established by the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. NIOSH is part of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It is focused on studying worker safety and health, and empowers employers and employees to create safer, healthier workplaces.
